Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, is a Nigerian singer and rapper. Born on May 1, 2000, Rema rose to prominence after signing with Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019. He swiftly gained a national following with the release of the song "Iron Man", which appeared on Barack Obama's 2019 summer playlist. His eponymous debut EP, Rema, was released in 2019. He won the Next Rated award at the 2019 Headies and was nominated for Viewer's Choice at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards.
